Letter to the Editor: DCMC Auxiliary Thanks the Community

On behalf of those involved with the Door County Medical Center Auxiliary’s House and Garden Walk, we extend a huge thank-you to the Door County community. Community is a huge part of our success, and we thank all who are the fabric of our wonderful Door County community.

To the fabulous homeowners who shared their character-filled homes, your generosity continues to astound us. Thank you. To our sponsors – many of whom share our 62-year legacy, and many more who have supported us year after year, plus new sponsors this year – thank you.

To our in-kind donors – florists, artists and purveyors of baked goods and refreshments – thank you. To the lifelong patrons of the House and Garden Walk, and those who participated for the first time this year, thank you. The list of those to thank is long – ticket outlets, volunteers and committee members among them. Thank you.

This year, the DCMC Auxiliary will direct proceeds from the House and Garden Walk to the Door County Medical Center’s plan to strengthen and expand its behavioral health program. We are proud to announce, with your help, that we were able to kick-start the Auxiliary’s contribution with $45,000 toward Door County Medical Center’s $3 million goal.

On behalf of the volunteers of the Door County Medical Center Auxiliary’s 62nd House and Garden Walk Committee, thank you!
