Letter to the Editor: Endorsing Wotachek ‘Wholeheartedly’

Laura Vlies Wotachek is running for re-election as District 9 county supervisor, and I endorse her re-election wholeheartedly. 

Laura and I first met on the set of a local film production more than five years ago, and we quickly became friends. Since then, we have worked together on other projects, including the Door County Fairest of the Fair, which is a program that Laura resurrected with the help of the Door County Fair Board back in 2018. 

The first time I met Laura, it was immediately obvious to me that she had a personality that drew you in and brought people together. As our friendship has grown over the years, I have learned that she is truly an upstanding human being: one who genuinely cares for people, wants to make a difference and has a sound moral compass – all of which are characteristics that I look for in an elected official. 

Laura’s passion for helping our community is obvious in the work she has done and continues to do each day. I ask the constituents in her area to re-elect her so she can continue to bring her positive energy, great ideas and caring spirit to the position of District 9 county supervisor.
