Letter to the Editor: Excellent Customer Service at Novel Bay Booksellers

I love books, libraries, and bookstores. I do not have a Kindle or Nook, and I don’t order from Amazon. Therefore I was happy to see the new book store in Sturgeon Bay Novel Bay Booksellers on Third Avenue. John (the owner) located a book for me:  The Minute and a Half Man (long out of print) and would not take any money for it. He said he could not in good conscience take anything for the book since it was in such poor repair (although he had to pay something for the book). I want to give this book to our great-grandson on his first birthday since it was the book my husband read to our son almost every night when he was a small child (more than 50 years ago). It was also the book that my husband used for his final exam in a college speech class (by the way, he got an “A” in the class at Northland College in Ashland, Wis.). Thank you John. You have given a new meaning to “customer service.”
