Letter to the Editor: Hotel Jeopardizes Village

I have deep concern for what is taking place in Sister Bay. We fixed the hills and streets, buried power lines, got the waterfront in great shape for beach access and marina facilities. Then we started to remodel and build and are now planning to allow a 46-unit hotel occupy one of the busiest areas. This is not a wise move! We will not be able to “drive” downtown let alone park or walk.

I have “tended” the village flowerpot by the public restrooms for years. I am aware of foot traffic as well as vehicle. This will only cause more problems.

I was born and raised in Sister Bay and have enjoyed a lot of good progress. Don’t put our village in jeopardy!
