Letter to the Editor: Just This Once

To my Republican brothers and sisters,

I know that many of you had something else in mind when you voted for Donald Trump in 2016. You didn’t realize how things would turn out. That happens sometimes. 

In fact, many would argue that this Republican Party isn’t their Republican Party at all; it’s the party of Donald Trump.

But great news! You can help change course.

I remind you that even if you voted for Donald Trump in 2016, you don’t have to this time. Even if you’ve voted Republican your entire life, you don’t have to this time. Even if your entire family has always voted Republican, you don’t have to this time. 

This November 3, I encourage you to be a part of the solution, step up and out, be a leader, help rebuild our crippled nation and help return America to its former glory as a respected leader of the world, not the shameful laughingstock we have become. Just this once, vote for a Democrat. Vote for Joe Biden.

This November 3, I urge you to vote for civility, vote for decency, vote for integrity, vote for unification, vote for honesty, vote for compassion.

Just this once, vote for a Democrat. Vote for Joe Biden.
