Letter to the Editor: Many Thanks for Bell Ringing

A big thank you and Happy New Year to all the dedicated folks who participated in The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign in Door County this year!

Many thanks to the ringers who gave their time and braved the weather! A record number of ringing slots were filled in 2018!  Sincere thanks to Econo Foods, Walmart, Pick ’N Save, Walgreens and Main Street Market for hosting ringers at their front doors! Thank you to the many generous donors who filled the kettles! Thank you to Tom Mulinix for setting up and maintaining the equipment, and Tom and his helpers – Brenda, Jan and Rae – for collecting and depositing the donations. Together, we are making a difference in this community!

Although bell ringing for 2018 concluded Dec. 29, there is great need for the year-round critical services provided to our less fortunate Door County neighbors. Additional donations are welcome and may be sent to The Salvation Army, c/o Tom Mulinix, 509 W. Walnut Drive, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.

Contact Nancy at 920.883.7886 or [email protected] if you would like to ring the bell in 2019.

With deep appreciation and blessings to all in the New Year,

Nancy Kexel-Calabresa, Ringer Coordinator, The Salvation Army
