Letter to the Editor: Not Feeling Represented by Current Legislators

Ron Johnson has no interest in following the truth, but he sure knows how to “follow the green,” as evidenced by the announcement of his scheduled attendance at the May 16 GOP fundraising Lincoln Day dinner. 

Johnson, who lately has avidly chased conservative TV cameras in order to find a forum for the nonsensical untruths he’s come to favor, demonstrates zero interest in his constituents when contacted at his Washington office. But wave a dollar, and oh, boy, he’s in! 

Similarly, state Sen. André Jacque, whose 1st District includes Door County, is so interested in dodging those constituents that he will barely dabble a toe over the county’s southernmost border, nor answer substantive questions even then. 

Those who truly believe in representative democracy – and the necessary tenet to express your views – have a hard time of it with this crew.
