Letter to the Editor: One-Sided News

Recently the Fox News station reported on the US Congressional hearing about the Flint, Michigan water disaster. The coverage only concentrated on Republican members blaming the EPA.

No mention was made that Michigan’s Republican Governor and his colleagues created a law that threw out elected officials in a number of cities and the governor installed a City Manager. It was the city manager who changed the water supply to the Flint River.

When the lead contamination was found the Republicans in charge took a long time to admit the problem and alert the citizens. It was all done to save money! Now they have a very costly problem to fix, and many children with permanent brain damage from ingesting lead.

So when you see “Balanced News” pasted across your TV screen, know it is only balanced in favor of the wealthy corporations who support the Republicans.
