Letter to the Editor: Students Involved in Our Community

The Door County chapter of the Christ Child Society wishes to express its gratitude to the students of our local YMCA’s Youth and Government program. In addition to learning, discussing and debating, state government functions, each year these young adults nominate, elect, and provide aid to a local charity. Our chapter was delighted to accept the many baby essentials these teens collected on our behalf. These items will help us provide layettes that are given to mothers in need so that their babies go home from the hospital with clothing, blankets, diapers and other items necessary for their security and well-being. Thank you again, for recognizing this need in our community and helping us make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable among us.
