Letter to the Editor: Support Camp Questa

The Girl Scout Council of the Northwestern Great Lakes is considering selling the Girl Scout camp known as Camp Cuesta in Baileys Harbor. This camp has been an important part of the local Girl Scouting tradition for decades.

There are many readers of this paper who remember camping there as a child, or who have sent their children to the camp for the wide variety of events that the Girl Scouts have offered there over the years.

I’d like to encourage those readers who have memories of this wonderful camp to reach out to the official email address ([email protected]) that has been set up to gather opinions about selling the camp to share your experiences, memories and thoughts regarding keeping this place for future generations of Girl Scouts.

Our local Girl Scouts are relying on your support so that we can continue to use this property for many more decades to come.
