Letter to the Editor: Support for Dallet

On Feb. 20, 2018, Wisconsin will hold a primary election to determine which two of three Supreme Court candidates will be on the April ballot. We are supporting Judge Rebecca Dallet.

Judge Dallet has worked actively in Wisconsin courtrooms for more than 20 years, first as a prosecutor and for the past 10 years as a circuit court judge. During that time she has presided over 10,000 cases, including 260 jury trials. Her broad experience includes hearing felony and misdemeanor cases, domestic violence and child abuse and neglect cases, as well as handling full family court and general civil dockets.  Every day she faces and decides the very issues that are likely to confront her on the Supreme Court. This experience clearly distinguishes her from her opponents.

Additionally, we believe that of the three candidates, Judge Dallet is most likely to not allow personal biases or partisan concerns from affecting her decision-making. Her judicial record reflects these qualities.
