Letter to the Editor: Thank You, Belgian Heritage Center Kermiss Supporters!

Kermiss is a traditional harvest festival that has been celebrated in the Belgian communities of Door and Kewaunee counties for more than 160 years. The community gathers to eat, drink, listen to music and socialize.

For the Belgian Heritage Center, it is also our most important fundraising event. This year, for everyone’s safety, we limited the event to traditional Belgian food on a drive-up basis. The turnout was wonderful! Thank you to everyone who bought food and merchandise, donated time, provided financial support or made an in-kind donation. We are also pleased that so many people enjoyed the “Virtual Kermiss” presented on our Facebook page and website (BelgianHeritageCenter.org).

The Belgian Heritage Center is very grateful for the tremendous community support!
