Letter to the Editor: Thanks from Altrusa International

The Board of Directors for the Altrusa International Club of Door County would like to take this opportunity to thank all those concerned in making our 2015 Holiday Extravaganza fundraiser such a success. The businesses and private persons who donate the fabulous gifts and services are crucial to this event. Only through your generous giving, can we even begin to hold this special night. Thank you so very much! The management and staff of Stone Harbor Resort continue to provide an elegant setting, wonderful meals and service beyond compare. We couldn’t do this without you! Lastly, the tireless members of our club spend many hours gathering donations, tracking invitations and setting up the displays. All this, with a smile on their faces and an altruistic heart.

This annual event brings in funds that allow our club to award multiple scholarships each year and provide funds our many literacy/reading programs and the huge Back-to-School Fair held each August. It must be said that all of the above are true examples of the residents and businesses of Door County working together to help others. Thank you one and all!
