Letter to the Editor: Traffic and Development in Sister Bay

Today, July 27th, I decided to go to the post office to pick up my mail and drop some off. To my consternation traffic going into Sister Bay was backed up to before the nursery and flower shop. What a mess and to think that this has been happening almost every weekend. During the week its the same thing only not the line not quite so long. In my humble opinion we are becoming worse than Fish Creek. Is this what we want to happen to the village that has always been peaceful and quaint?

I admire private enterprise but not at the expense of traffic and parking. People have been considerate as far as allowing other drivers to turn or to enter into a lane of traffic but it is still frustrating to residents of the village to just get around to run everyday errands. We don’t need new hotels or businesses in the downtown area. Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion.
