Letter to the Editor: Vote for a Livable Future

Review this link (cornucopia.org/organic-factory-farm-investigation/) and forward through the photos. Many of these Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) are called “organic!”

Now consider what we have right here and right now in Kewaunee County with our CAFOs!

Vote wisely Nov. 8th. Lynn Utesch is an organic farmer and has a deep understanding and love for what organic means and the requirements to actually practice organic farming.

He understands the value system of working with nature instead of trying to dominate nature with huge machines, chemicals, monoculture’s of genetically modified crops like corn and soybeans and the destruction of biodiversity and the pollution of our waters, waters that belong to the Public Trust Domain!

Biodiversity loss leads to the demise of bees, birds and butterflies and the increasing extinctions of many species of plants and animals. A rich biodiversity of species makes the earth a living planet, a system not unlike a living body with all its complex organ systems fully functioning to sustain health and life itself.

A vote for Lynn, Russ and Tom will make a strong team that will work together to support a safe livable future for our children, grandchildren and beyond!
