I recently spent an enjoyable spring evening in Sister Bay, it’s the first time I have seen it “completed.” I wanted to take a moment to compliment the past and present members of the village board, the committees, and the village administrators who worked on both the vision and execution of this redevelopment of the downtown area and the waterfront. It is beautiful, and it is something the village can be very proud of. It still has that “brand new, just out of the box” look to it, but that will soften as landscaping and buildings change, and as the new infrastructure gets the nicks and dings of everyday life.
I also wanted to compliment the citizens of the village. Projects like this are expensive and time consuming, and require the commitment of the citizens to agree to disagree on specifics while still keeping the overall vision in focus.
This is something to be proud of, Sister Bay. Well done!
