Letter to the Editor: Who Are We?

During the last two years we have listened to Trump’s rhetoric that has led to a division in the United States and all over the world; division between black and white, between Americans and foreigners, between Democrats and Republicans and between rich and poor. What are we as Americans going to do about this? Are we going to continue to follow someone who calls people especially women names, makes fun of people less fortunate, alienates our allies and embraces dictators; for that matter, how about all the people in Congress who have adopted this type of behavior?

There are people calling us a Christian nation, well, when are we going to start acting like one? I would like to know where in the Bible it preaches hate your fellow man. It appears that the powers that be have lost their moral compass and ethics is non-existent. What we can do is stand together and say enough is enough, vote for common sense and justice for all before we become just like our leaders.
