Letter to the Editor: With Each Sunrise, United Way is There

United Way is there when another day dawns and someone reaches out for help. When you give to United Way you are building a community, helping kids uncover their inner star, easing a burden for a working mother…you are even giving someone the courage to reach out for the help they never imagined they would need. United Way helps one in three Door County residents because of the generous support we receive from the community in Living United. Give. Advocate. Volunteer.

Confidently Live United and give to United Way. Ninety-nine cents of every dollar stays local and empowers our neighbors to build better lives. Our Community Investment Committee collectively shares 500 volunteer hours in making tough decisions in how United Way funds are spent in Door County. From youth and elderly issues to transportation and dental care, these volunteers scrutinize agency budgets and programs. Our Community Investment Committee works to ensure United Way dollars are spent in the most efficient manner on the identified needs of our community.

Join us in giving to United Way and creating a better Door County that benefits us all. Know that with each magnificent Door County sunrise, your United Way gift will be in action. Thank you for Living United.
