Libby Spencer is Ephraim’s Newest Tourism Administrator

The Ephraim Business Council Board of Directors is happy to introduce Elizabeth (Libby) Spencer as its new tourism administrator.

She will officially begin on Oct. 12. A native of Manitowoc, Spencer has been visiting Door County for years. After graduating from Silver Lake College with a degree in English, Spencer worked as a news producer at WFRV-TV Channel 5, Green Bay. Most recently she was employed at Flex-Staff, a staffing agency in Manitowoc.

Spencer has always been intrigued by the tourism industry. Growing up on the lakeshore, she realizes the value that tourism can bring to a community. Her appreciation for tourism sparked while working for the Lake Michigan Car Ferry in the summer after graduating high school. Spencer took pride in serving as an ambassador to the City of Manitowoc. Meeting and greeting the excited visitors pushed her to explore opportunities in the tourism industry.

“I am drawn to Ephraim’s natural beauty. When I visit Door County and travel through the villages, I find myself in awe with Ephraim’s waterfront and resort setting,” said Spencer. “Ephraim stands out with its wide variety of businesses and upbeat atmosphere. When in the village I feel a sense of community. I look forward to promoting and preserving Ephraim as a coveted tourist destination.”
