Liberty Grove Historical Society Launches Fundraising Project for Military Memorial

The Liberty Grove Historical Society (LGHS) officially launched its Historic Fundraising Project on Oct. 19. The project is historic in that it will be the first Liberty Grove monument honoring its military veterans and active duty personnel. LGHS has designated the site for the brick Armed Forces Circle of Honor to be adjacent to the new Bruce Hanson Memorial Flagpole. Year-round and seasonal residents may honor their family members and friends who have served in the Armed Services by purchasing engraved bricks for the Circle of Honor.

There will also be a Donors’ Heritage Walkway that will allow those who wish to support this project and the mission of the Liberty Grove Historical Society by purchasing bricks inscribed with their names, family names or business names.

The goal is to sell at least 100 engraved bricks by March 30, 2016, so work can begin as soon as the ground thaws. The dedication is planned for July 4, 2016. To order bricks online visit lghshonorcircle.donationbricks.com. For more information call Faith Murray at 920.421.1754.
