Libraries End Mask Requirement

Door County libraries ended their mask requirement as of May 24 in accordance with the county lifting its masking advisory due to CDC guidance. The Library Board agreed with the change in masking practice when it met May 17.

Library Director Tina Kakuske said the safety of library users continues to be a priority, so cleaning protocols will remain; social distancing is encouraged; and masks and hand sanitizer will still be available.

The masking change precedes the library’s expansion of its hours. As of June 1, libraries are open during their regular summer hours, with the exception of Sturgeon Bay, which will continue to close at 7 pm Monday – Thursday, 5 pm on Friday, and 5 pm on Saturday.Keep up to date at DoorCountyLibrary.org or on the library’s social-media platforms.
