Libraries Offer Limited Walk-in Services

Door County Library is shifting to Library Express to welcome the public at all eight branches for limited walk-in services, including browsing, computer use and printing. The contactless, call-in pickup service will also continue.

“We realize how essential the libraries are to our users, and we are excited to once again provide Library Express access starting March 1,” said library Director Tina Kakuske. “Our intent has always been to provide a safe environment for library users by following the recommended cleaning protocol, masking, maintaining six feet of distance and providing sanitizer. These measures will continue because keeping our libraries safely functioning at some level without having to close due to COVID-19 is the ultimate goal.”

Virtual programming will continue with recordings available to watch at YouTube.com/DCLyouth. Free WiFi access around library buildings remains open 24 hours a day. And, the downloadable library on the Overdrive/Libby and Hoopla apps continue to have lucky-day selections and free downloads to library-card holders.
