Life is Good at Northern Door Children’s Center’s “Camp Cool”

Camp Cool students enjoy the Black Tie Fancy Dress Luncheon during New York, New York week at Northern Door Children’s Center.

This summer more than 60 school-aged children are finding that life is good at Northern Door Children’s Center’s annual “Camp Cool” summer program. Camp Cool starts the Monday after school is out and finishes the last Friday of summer. The program provides fun, relaxation, creativity, and a safe, nurturing environment for children ages 5 – 11.

Each week offers a different theme with related activities. A few of the themes are Rock Star/Disco Days, Adventure Land, Wizard Week, and Pirate’s Treasure Hunt. New York, New York was one of the latest themes and included “taxi cab” races, a black-tie, fancy dress luncheon and outdoor chalk drawings of the New York City skyline. There are also theme-related field trips all through the summer, including the annual overnight experience at Camp Wabansi.

Northern Door Children’s Center also has a safe, fun-filled, educational summer program for children ages 6 weeks to fours years. There is still room available for children in this age group. For more information call 920.854.4244 or visit
