Kurt Roy Robertson

Sept. 12, 1953 – April 29, 2014

Kurt Roy Robertson, 60, of Brussels, died at home after a brief illness. He was born on Sept. 12, 1953, in Sturgeon Bay.

Kurt was preparing for retirement and was scheduled to graduate from the Green Bay Diocese Pastoral Leadership Program. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels at 11 am on May 3, 2014. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay, on Friday from 4 – 7 pm and at the church Saturday from 10 am until time of service. A prayer service is scheduled for 7 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Larry James Kuehn

Oct. 31, 1943 – April 28, 2014

Larry James Kuehn, 70, of Sturgeon Bay, died suddenly on April 28, 2014, at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Friday, May 2, 2014, at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Institute. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mary Bell Sharkey

June 28, 1925 – April 26, 2014

Mary Bell Sharkey, 88, Sturgeon Bay, died at Ministry Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility on April 26, 2014. Funeral services were held at St. John Neuman Catholic Church in Spalding, Mich., on April 30, 2014. Burial will be in the Spalding Township Cemetery.

Paul J. Peeters

Nov. 3, 1952 – April 25, 2014

Paul J. Peeters, 61, of Sturgeon Bay, died Friday April 25, 2014, at UW Hospital in Madison after complications following his lung transplant last December and his long battle with IPF. He worked as a state fisheries biologist at various locations before retiring in Sturgeon Bay in 2010. A memorial gathering to celebrate Paul’s life will be held from noon until 3 pm on Saturday, May 17, at Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club. Martha F. Powell

Jan. 22, 1922 – April 22, 2014

Martha F. Powell, 92, of Sturgeon Bay, died April 22, 2014, at Golden Living Center-Dorchester. Martha moved to Sturgeon Bay from Newport News, Va., in 1986 to be closer to her son, Allen, and her grandchildren. She worked at Spurgeon’s and Sheila’s Corner House. Martha was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay. At her request, there will be no public service. Interment will be made at Bayside Cemetery.
