Dorothy Schmiling

March 24, 1918 – June 13, 2014

Dorothy Schmiling, 96, of Sturgeon Bay, died on June 16, 2014, at the Skilled Nursing Facility at Ministry Door County Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 4 pm Friday, June 20, 2014, at Bay View Lutheran Church, with Rev. Timothy Malek officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Algoma. Bernard “Bernie” John Witczak

March 20, 1933 – June 12, 2014

Bernard “Bernie” John Witczak, 81, of Sturgeon Bay and also of Arizona, died June 12, 2014, at his home in the town of Nasewaupee. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sturgeon Bay. Inurnment will be at a later date in the columbarium at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.

George F. LeClair

May 18, 1931 – June 10, 2014

George F. LeClair, 82, of Sturgeon Bay, formerly of Jacksonport, died June 10, 2014, at Golden Living Center/Dorchester, where he had resided the past seven years. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on June 17, 2014, at Stella Maris Parish, Jacksonport site. Memorials may be made in his memory for Amvets Post #51 of Sturgeon Bay. Allen Robert Kohn

July 31, 1939 – June 10, 2014

Allen Robert Kohn, 74, of Sturgeon Bay, died at his home on June 10, 2014. Al was past president and current secretary of the Peninsula Shrine Club. Al worked in the insurance industry for many years and retired to Door County in 1999. Funeral services were held June 15 at the Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay. Anne S. Ericson, 88, of Egg Harbor, died Friday, June 6, 2014. She was a member of Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church and the Door County Land Trust. Anne was an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed feeding wildlife.
