Kate Wiegand and Johnathon Jilot, Sturgeon Bay, are the parents of a boy born on Feb. 15, 2015, at Ministry Door County Medical Center, Sturgeon Bay. Maternal grandparents are Linda and Steve Wiegand, Sturgeon Bay. Paternal grandparents are Tammy and Ron Jilot, Sturgeon Bay.


Theresa A. Freeman 

Sept. 22, 1945 – Feb. 15, 2015 

Theresa A. Freeman, 69, of Fish Creek died with her family at her side on Feb. 15, 2015. She was born on Sept. 22, 1945, to Melvin and Elizabeth (Elsie) Roe in New London, Wis. Theresa moved to Fish Creek in 1989. Door County was Theresa’s favorite place since she visited with her parents as a child. A funeral Mass will be held on Feb. 26, 2015, at 11 am at Stella Maris Parish, Sister Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Door Cancer, Inc. (

Lois Patricia Anderson

April 19, 1930 – Feb. 14, 2015

Lois Patricia Anderson, 84, of Sturgeon Bay died at the Odd Fellows Nursing Home in Green Bay on Feb. 14, 2015. Lois loved being a homemaker and especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James “Jay” Davidson 

Aug. 15, 1943 – Feb. 14, 2015 

James (Jay) Edward Davidson Jr., 71, of Bailey’s Harbor, died on Feb. 14, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society Scandia Village after a long battle with cancer, with his loving wife, Karen, by his side. Jay played during open mic sessions at local establishments where he met and befriended fellow musicians. For four years, Jay took part in the Steel Bridge Music Festivals in Sturgeon Bay. Jay is survived by family members and the many friends he made throughout his life. He will be deeply missed.

Margaret H. Dunn 

June 23, 1909 – Feb. 14, 2015 

Margaret Hunt Dunn, 105, was born June 23, 1909, in ChaiRyung Korea, at the Presbyterian Mission compound, to Anna Lloyd and William Brewster Hunt. Her brother, Bruce Hunt, was a long time missionary in Korea, known to many there. Margie married Rev. Leslie Dunn on May 11, 1946. She and her husband were equally matched in their enthusiasm to serve the Lord. A memorial service will be held at Falls Presbyterian Church, Menomonee Falls, Wis., on Feb. 21 at 2 pm.

Norman “Norm” William Bruss

Nov. 6, 1948 – Feb. 12, 2015

Norman “Norm” William Bruss, 66, of Sturgeon Bay, died Feb. 12, 2015, at Ministry Door County Medical Center. Jeannine A. Viste

May 11, 1937 – Feb. 11, 2015

Jeannine A. (Ahlers) Viste, 77, of Sturgeon Bay, died Feb. 11, 2015. In lieu of a public funeral service, her family will have a private memorial service this summer. David James LaLuzerne

May 6, 1943 – Feb. 12, 2015

David James LaLuzerne, 71, of Sturgeon Bay died at Golden Living Center, Dorchester, on Feb. 12, 2015. He was born May 6, 1943, in Dykesville to Edward and Helen (Gilson) LaLuzerne. 

David graduated from Preble High School and then served in the U. S. Navy from 1962-65. David farmed in the town Nasewaupee, loved animals and enjoyed watching baseball and basketball. Funeral services were held Feb. 17. Online condolences may be offered at

Doris Emelia Anderson

Feb. 9, 1916 – Feb. 12, 2015

Doris Emelia Anderson, 99, of Sturgeon Bay died at Pine Crest Village on Feb. 12, 2015.  She was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Ashland to Nels and Ida (Anderson) Olson. She married Frank Anderson in 1937, in Hastings, Minn. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1975. Private family services will be conducted at Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay. Burial will be in Clay Banks Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the David Spude Endowment Fund at the Door County Cancer Center. 

Susanna Kunz 

Feb. 11, 1919 – Feb. 12, 2015

Susanna (Schlitt) Kunz, 96, died Feb. 12, 2015, at Scandia Village in Sister Bay. In April 1939, she married her childhood sweetheart Frederick Kunz. They had two children: Mary Kay and Frederick. She is survived by her two children: Mary Kay (Walter) Vartanian and Fred (Carol) Kunz, eight grandchildren: Susan, Christine, Karla, Sherri, Teri, Charm, Kathy & Wally, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Memorial service is pending.

Donald W. Beckstrom 

Nov. 14, 1946 – Feb. 10, 2015 

Donald W. Beckstrom, 68, died Feb. 10, 2015. Funeral services were held at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay on Feb. 16.
