Light and Bright

“The White Gull” by Barbara Timmerman.

The Door County Art League (DCAL) Gallery is featuring the artwork of Barbara Timmerman, July 25 – 31. The gallery is located at the Top of the Hill Shops, Fish Creek.

After retiring to Door County 10 years ago, Egg Harbor artist Barb Timmerman decided she would learn to paint the towns’ architecture that she had enjoyed since her childhood. With her light and bright style, Timmerman’s acrylic paintings create a cheerful face for these historic buildings. According to Timmerman, “My hope is that my art will evoke fond memories for my viewers, whether those memories are enjoying ice cream at Wilson’s, miniature golf at the Red Putter, or the Good Morning America award-winning French toast at the White Gull Inn.”

The DCAL Gallery features original watercolors, pastels, acrylic and oil paintings, photography and 3-D art, plus affordable art prints by DCAL artists. Gallery hours are 11 am to 5 pm daily, and open till 3 pm on Sundays. DCAL membership is open to all artists and anybody who wishes to support the visual arts in Door County.
