Limited Mosaic Canvases Left for Public Purchase

The Hardy Gallery’s annual Community Mosaic Project is on display until Aug. 27 and consists of more than 270 individual 6×6-inch canvases made by members of the community.
Celebrating its 10th year, the Community Mosaic Project continues to have strong support and celebration of this unique community project. The project is part of an initiative to engage and enrich the community through the visual arts as well as provide a means for fundraising, which directly supports The Hardy Gallery. Thanks to the Artists Guild’s sponsorship each year, The Hardy has been able to continue to provide free canvases to community members to decorate and return for the final installation. The canvases are available for public purchase from the gallery at $30 each. Purchases can be made on the phone, email or stopping by the gallery at 3083 Anderson Lane, Ephraim.

The Hardy Gallery’s annual Collection Invitational and Collector’s Choice Benefit will also be on view until Aug. 27. The exhibit features two works from each invited artist, one of which has been generously donated for the gallery’s silent auction, with all proceeds going to benefit the Hardy Gallery’s operation and programming funds. In return a second piece is displayed in the gallery for sale by the artist, with all proceeds of that sale going directly to the artist. This exhibit is the Hardy’s largest annual fundraising event of the season, and features 46 Door County artists who work in a variety of mediums and styles.

The silent auction of donated artwork concludes Aug. 27 at 5 pm. Bids can be made directly in the gallery, by calling 920.854.2210 or emailing [email protected].
