Linden Gallery Displays Le Long Lao Oil Paintings

“Looking On” by Le Long Lao.

Along with long-awaited spring sunshine, Linden Gallery just received fourteen paintings from Chinese artist Le Long Lao. The canvasses are alive with scenes of rural life in southwestern China, and each one tells a story. In contrasting, bright primary colors, a tiny butterfly in the hands of little sister captivates five young children. Another depicts children walking down a mountain path in sandals, enjoying the warm weather, and perhaps, the first day of summer vacation.

According to Le Long Lao, “My works reflect the realistic depiction of life and how we live. My paintings dig deep into self-expression in order to formulate my own unique style.” Westerners will enjoy this glimpse into the world of the artist, and will appreciate the subtlety of color and technique that makes each work so unique.

Le Long Yao is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and Guangdong Artists Association. He also is affiliated with the Guangzhou Paintings Academy. His works have been selected to compete in provincial and national art competitions including the prestigious Shanghai Art Fair.

The art of Le Long Lao will be on special exhibit at Linden Gallery from through July 8.

Linden Gallery, located at Highway 42 and Mink River Road in Ellison Bay, is open 10 am – 5 pm daily. For more information call 920.854.2487.
