Linden Gallery Hosts Exclusive He Bin Exhibit

Guests of the Linden Gallery during the month of July will have an opportunity to see why the world’s attention is so focused on the vibrant Chinese art market and the artwork of He Bin, one of the new generation of Chinese artists, in particular. The public is invited to an exhibit opening on July 11 from 1 – 5 pm.

He Bin, a leading painter, wood block artist and critic, has ventured to the United States on a mission to be challenged creatively and intellectually. Throughout much of China’s history, political and financial reasons have hindered artists’ opportunities to travel beyond Asia and experience different paradigms of expression. With the increasing wealth and freedoms now common among the Chinese, artists are now able to travel beyond their borders.

He Bin’s travels will take him to major U.S. cities where he will visit museums, art schools and galleries; however, his exhibit at the Linden Gallery will be his only show abroad this year.

The Lindens have worked with He Bin in their cultural retreat in China’s southwest Yunnan Province. He Bin’s works are found throughout the Lindens’ complex and have garnered much attention from their guests and media.

Linden Gallery, located at Highway 42 and Mink River Road in Ellison Bay, is open daily 10 am – 5 pm. For more information call 920.854.2487.
