Linden Gallery Hosts Trunk Show

The Linden Gallery in Ellison Bay will host a trunk show on September 26 from 10 am – 5 pm featuring Bazyli Studio Jewelry by Door County artists Skye and Peter Ciesla.

The Bazyli Collection includes one-of-a-kind cuffs, earrings and necklaces, using beads and findings from around the world. Their unique jewelry has appeared on fashion runways from coast to coast and can be found in boutiques and galleries all over the U.S. They will have many items for sale from their Fall Collection during the one-day show, as well as markdowns on selected Spring/Summer items.

Bazyli Studio’s signature Asian Collection, designed with exquisite antique silver medallions and copper molds found by the Lindens in southwest China, will also be on display.

Peter‘s background in fiber and fashion design has greatly influenced Bazyli’s jewelry. In 1991 Peter emigrated to the United States from Wroclaw, Poland and settled in Chicago where he met Skye and ran his own custom couture clothing business before moving to Door County in 2003. Skye was a sculptor working with stone before she met Peter. Their artistic skills gradually started to meld together.

Skye says, “It was a natural step for me to collaborate with Peter to launch Bazyli Studio…I carve unique stone pieces for the jewelry and can continue to do extensive bead embroidery work. I get to work with the materials I love on a small and intimate scale.”

Peter adds, “My goal is to walk the fine line between art and fashion. Our studio is dedicated to artistic innovation and technical excellence.”
