Living Compass Seminar

Rev. Dr. Scott Stoner, creator of Living Compass Ministry and director of the Nicholas Center in the Diocese of Chicago, will lead a seminar titled “Living Well with Living Compass” at 7 pm, Aug. 6, at the Church of the Atonement, Fish Creek.

Rev. Stoner is dedicated to strengthening and empowering families. “I don’t listen to people’s problems; I listen to their stories,” he says. “Problems are always temporary, and they only arise to let us know there is some important part of our unfolding life story that we haven’t quite figured out yet.”

An Episcopal priest of more than 30 years and a licensed marriage and family therapist, Rev. Stoner created Living Compass for the Episcopal Church because he believes that churches are the original centers of healing and wellness. He is the author of a recently published book, Your Living Compass: Living Well in Thought, Word, and Deed.

Rev. Stoner will conduct services at the Church of the Atonement at 8 am and 10 am on Aug. 3 and 10.
