After brief reports from our work groups about raising public awareness, involving the arts, linking with other organizations, applying political pressure and divestment, the Bill Moyers interview, Naomi Klein on Capitalism and Climate Change, will be shown.

Klein is an award-winning journalist and author of two international bestsellers. She’s received widespread acclaim for her writing on climate change, the destructive nature of capitalism in times of crisis, and anti-corporate globalization. Her most recent book is The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism (2007), a New York Times bestseller. Klein’s columns appear regularly in The Nation and the Guardian newspaper. She is a contributing editor for Harper’s and reporter for Rolling Stone, and has also written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, The Los Angeles Times, The Globe and Mail, and El Pais.
