On Aug. 28, educators from Sevastopol, Gibraltar and Sturgeon Bay school districts will have the opportunity to learn more about student writing from Kelly Gallagher, one of the nation’s leading voices in literacy education. Gallagher is a high school English language arts teacher in California and since 1985 has devoted himself to teaching reading, writing, listening and speaking. The author of six books for teachers, Gallagher is a worldwide, sought-after language arts consultant.

During the Aug. 28 conference, teachers will learn about the critical factors and values of student writing, make reading and writing connections to the various content areas, and participate in cross-district collaboration.
