Local Sustainability Grant for HELP Door County

The Barbara and James Hansen Fund, the Bev and Tom Lisle Fund, the Sharon and Tom Lutsey Fund and the Women’s Fund of Door County of the Door County Community Foundation have announced a $3,000 Sustainability Grant in support of HELP Of Door County Inc.’s TLP (Transitional Living Program). HELP’s Transitional Living Program provides rental assistance to survivors of domestic abuse while also teaching self-sufficiency skills. HELP’s Executive Director Steve Vickman said, “We are incredibly grateful that the Door County Community Foundation is supporting this very important program which empowers survivors of domestic violence to attain financial independence. TLP guides survivors as they focus on their futures and provides a support mechanism to help them develop their goals and the means to accomplish them – in short, TLP is designed to lead victims of domestic violence on a path of personal and financial independence.”
