Local Talent Showcased at Ladder House

Upper Midwest Music showcased a trio of acoustic artists at the Ladder House in Sturgeon Bay May 7. The lineup included local talent Rick Younglove, Mojo Perry (Appleton), and Eli August (Madison). Upper Midwest Music is the brainchild of Marybeth Mattson and her partner Lloyd Reid Cole, who launched the company to help talented musicians get their music out to broader audiences. The company assists artists in promoting their music and getting organized professionally using both traditional and new media resources. Mattson is the daughter of Door County musician Jeanne Kuhns, sister of Eli Mattson, and a talented musician in her own right. Mattson and Upper Midwest Music will be promoting other live music events and artist collaborations throughout the county.
