Look for Seasonal Constellations at Crossroads

Looking up and looking around are on tap at Crossroads at Big Creek this weekend.

The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will open the Stonecipher Astronomy Center’s observatory and planetarium to the public Nov. 23, 7 pm. If the sky is clear, society members will use laser pointers to point out the fall/winter constellations. If the sky is cloudy, it’s always clear (and warm) in the planetarium.

Join the naturalist for a gentle ramble in Crossroads at Big Creek Nov. 24, 2 pm, to eliminate cabin fever and enjoy late fall or early winter – whichever it is. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

Crossroads at Big Creek is a learning center that comprises three preserves. The Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, is open weekdays, 10 am – 4 pm; weekends, 1-4 pm; and during scheduled activities. The learning center will be closed on Thanksgiving, but the trails and restrooms will be open 24/7 free of charge.
