Who hasn’t stood on a dock or leaned over a boat to watch a family of ducks or loons gliding through the water? This image captures a popular concept, the protective and comforting relationship between a parent and child, in a poised and simplistic manner.

Spending four seasons in Door County, the Frykmans are free to explore their favorite corners of the peninsula throughout the year. They seek to capture the unique beauty of the overlooked places. Their work is shown at the Frykman Studio Gallery in Sister Bay.
