Lost Mothra to Perform at Woodwalk Gallery

Jeanne Kuhns brings her versatile band, Lost Mothra, to the Woodwalk Gallery stage on Friday, July 3 at 7 pm.

Lost Mothra is made up of Kuhns, a fixture on the Door County music scene, Chicago’s George Sawyn and Minneapolis’s Jeff Crooks on guitar, fiddle by Lynn Gudmundsen, and bass player Patrick Palmer. This eclectic band, originally built on Jeanne’s original songwriting, has brought in Sawyn’s original music and a collection of familiar songs interpreted with the style and finesse of a group of seasoned players.

Both Sawyn and Crooks are masters of the guitar, performing in bands for over 30 years. Sawyn’s classical-based jazz guitar is a perfect fit with Crooks’s electric-jazz, outside-of-the-box style. Add in the fabulous Palmer on bass and the famous Gudmundsen fiddle playing to Kuhns’s vocals, and the band presents an evening of contrasts incorporating fun and frolic with achingly beautiful musical statements.

Desserts by Sweetie Pies of Fish Creek, snacks, and beer and wine coolers are available for purchase. All concerts in the Woodwalk Concert Series begin at 7 pm and are $10 at the door. For more information, call 920.868.2912 or visit http://www.woodwalkgallery.com.
