Lottery Tax Credit Lower Than 2016

Door County Treasurer Jay Zahn has received information from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue on this year’s lottery credit for the 2017 tax bills. This year’s credit is a bit lower than 2016. Credits vary according to the school district property is located in. Credits are as follows:  Sturgeon Bay School District, $126.22 down from $139.20; Southern Door School District, $106.43 compared to $115.75 in 2016; Sevastopol School District, $65.98, previously $69.28; Gibraltar School District, $34.84 down from $36.60; Washington Island District, $58.68 down from $61.16 in 2016. Now that the county has received lottery credit figures, property tax bills are being printed in the Real Property Listing Office. Residents can expect to receive their bills in early December. The Door County Treasurer will again collect for 15 of 19 municipalities. Payments for those municipalities will also be accepted at all locations of the North Shore and Associated Banks.
