Loudon Wainwright III at the Peg Egan PAC

The Peg Egan Performing Arts Center will feature the 2010 Grammy Winner for Best Traditional Folk Album, Loudon Wainwright III for an unforgettable night of music on Sunday, July 18 at 7 pm.

With a recording career spanning over 20 albums, Wainwright is one of America’s most cherished music icons, a darkly witty and personal songwriter and storyteller. He began in the folk clubs of Boston and New York before going on to parallel music and acting careers, acting and/or contributing to the soundtrack in a long list of productions from M*A*S*H to The 40 Year Old Virgin and 28 Days to Knocked Up. Johnny Cash, Earl Scruggs, and Mose Allison, as well as his son, Rufus Wainwright, have recorded this legendary singer and banjo player’s music.

The Peg Egan Center is an outdoor amphitheatre located on Church Street in Egg Harbor. All concerts are free and open to the public. In the event of rain the concert will be held at the Paul J. Bertschinger Community Center in Egg Harbor.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. The Ladder House and Double Delight will provide concessions. For more information call 920.493.5979.
