Love on Holiday Returns for Ninth Year 

Now in its ninth year, the Holiday Music Motel will again host Love on Holiday (, an interdisciplinary, collaborative event in which visual art inspires song. The public will be able to see the works chosen for this year’s event Jan. 28 – Feb. 8 at the new SWY231 Gallery, next door to Third Avenue Playhouse in downtown Sturgeon Bay.

This year’s visual artists cover a wide range in every possible way: inspired youth and established professionals from all walks of life making contributions in a spectrum of media and styles that are certain to inspire an equally varied gamut of collaboratively created songs.

Participating artists include 10-year-old Bobby Opper; high school students Claire Tellstrom, Katie Frank and Kole Mallien; artist-engineer Steve Bowles; surrealist painter Fred Stonehouse; transgender, nonbinary artist Rae Senarighi; Mike Fredrickson; Steven Bossler; Phillip Lyons; Jerod Nellis; Mikaela Brenner; Erin Tauscher; Troy Therrien; Meghan Lionel Murphy; Mira Miyamoto; Kathryn Shepard-Utzinger; Tom Jordan; and Steve Wolter.
