Love/Not Love Stories Needed for “Slings and Arrows”

Door Shakespeare, in collaboration with Write On, Door County, seeks submissions from writers and storytellers for their second annual Valentine’s storytelling event to take place on Feb. 13 at 4 pm at the Fireside Restaurant in Ellison Bay.

Perfect partners or evil exes? Fantastic first dates or dates from hell? Love fulfilled or unrequited. Slings and Arrows wants your love/not love story. Representatives from Door Shakespeare and Write On will review entries and select those to be featured at our second annual Valentine’s Day event.

Submissions are due Feb. 1, 2016, should be no longer than 1,400 words, written in the first person, true, and able to be read in front of an audience of all ages. Submissions may take the form of story narrative, poetry, song, or other genres. Artists selected will have the opportunity to craft their writing and storytelling skills with representatives of Door Shakespeare and Write On prior to the event.
