Lurie’s Book Captures Peninsula’s Beauty From the Air

Aerial photographer Paul Lurie set out to create a book that would inspire a deeper appreciation for Door County’s beauty and inspire further conservation around the peninsula, its islands and surrounding waters. Door County Land Trust has partnered with Lurie to make his new book, Shoreline at the Edge, available for free – just pay the shipping!

Quotes by Door County legend Norbert Blei accompany the aerial images. Writings about folklore, science and history by co-authors Steven Leonard, former executive director of The Ridges Sanctuary; and Cinnamon Rossman, Door County Land Trust’s director of charitable giving, accompany each photograph.

A minimum donation of $7 is required to cover shipping and handling, but donations beyond that directly support land preservation. Books are available in a limited quantity, so requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The volunteer program of Sunshine Resources is donating book-fulfillment services. Books began shipping July 20; allow two to four weeks to receive a requested book.
