LWV Recognized for Significant Growth

The League of Women Voters of Door County was recently recognized by the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) for their significant growth in membership. In the past year, the League’s membership has grown by over 15 percent.

“While we appreciate the recognition, the greatest reward that we could get is seeing more members of our community active and involved in the issues that are critical to all of us,” said local League co-president Martha Beller.

Membership is open to men and women of all ages. Upcoming events include a roundtable luncheon on April 26, 11:30 am, at the Inn at Cedar Crossing in Sturgeon Bay, and the Annual Meeting & 60th year celebration on May 23 at Mr. G’s Supper Club in Jacksonport.
