LWV sponsors education study session

• The League of Women Voters will sponsor a study session series this fall to look into the role of the federal government in education. The first session will be held Sept. 24 at 9 am at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Sturgeon Bay. Dr. Judy Sargent, school improvement services director for CESA 7, will addresss “Common Core Standards, Assessments and Curriculum.” The study will continue with sessions Oct. 20 and Nov. 10. Those meetings will be held at 4 pm at the Sturgeon Bay Library.

• The Ephraim Board of Trustees is looking for a resident to serve on the Historic Preservation Committee. The committee meets when needed on the fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Administrative Office at 10005 Norway Road. Those interested should contact Charity Buhr at 920.854.5501.
