Mac Schueppert Featured at Greco Gallery

Greco Gallery, “an artistic boutique” on historic 3rd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, welcomes Mac Schueppert, an award-winning local pastel artist. Schueppert joins more than 10 Door County artists who are working together to further the gallery’s mission to create, share, and inspire.

Schueppert enjoys both plein air and studio painting and welcomes the challenge of the always-changing landscape, lighting, and weather of the warmer months. She also enjoys the chance to experiment with color choices and new techniques in her studio throughout the winter. She does very little blending, and lets the various layers of her vibrant color choices build to evoke dramatic light and the interplay of warm and cool tones in the resulting shadows. Schueppert is inspired and motivated by the beauty of the Door County landscape and pushes her work further each season, trying to capture the emotion of a fleeting moment.
