Mad Keyboard Artist Returns to Art and Music Jam

On Saturday, June 27 from 2 – 4 pm, Manitowoc keyboard crazy Greg Pagel will be performing at Gallery Forty Two’s popular Art and Music Jam. Pagel’s inventiveness on the electronic keyboards tend toward the wacky, although, he’s an equally accomplished classical piano player.

“It’s great fun painting to Greg’s music – it’s alive with ideas, colors, textures,” said Tim Nyberg, Gallery 42 owner. “He improvs off of what he sees me painting as well. If we’re lucky, he’ll bring his accordion with him. That’s when the crazy really starts!”

Greg’s latest CD, Plastic Machine Music, is a daring fusion of jazz with hip-hop and electronica. CD Baby gave the CD 5 stars, calling it “an ingenius hybrid of jazz fusion backdrops, experimental electronic innovation and a poprock-informed writing,” and praising its “creative development of motives and ideas, an overall giddy enjoyment of urban, industrial and machine noises.” Take a listen at GregPagel.com.

Free admission as always, and free wine to lubricate your viewing and listening experience. Gallery 42 is at the corner of Hwy. 42 and Juddville Road between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. More information at GalleryFortyTwo.com or call 920.785.1123.
