Made from Water

On Aug. 18 Gibraltar Talks will present “Tales of Harbor Waters.” Learn how the waters of Fish Creek played a key role in the development of Fish Creek today. The “adventurers” in the mid-1800s arrived by way of water. Who were these men? How did they find this community? And why Fish Creek? Transportation was limited, yet the dreams of several determined men opened the peninsula to settlers and tourists alike.

Join Barb McKesson as she recounts the history of Fish Creek in “Tales of Harbor Waters.” The program will be held at 7 pm at the Fish Creek Old Town Hall located at 4176 Maple Street in Fish Creek. Gibraltar Talks programs are free and open to the public; audience participation is encouraged and refreshments will be served. Freewill donations are appreciated to help with future Gibraltar Historical Association programming and other history related events and goals.
