MAM Begins Virtual Fundraiser Auction, March 19

The Miller Art Museum will begin its silent auction – part of its Hand to HeART: A Virtual Fundraiser Pairing Creativity + Comfort – on March 19, 6 pm. An auction highlight is a cast-glass sculpture titled Jessie Kalmbach Chase by Door County artist Stephanie Trenchard of Popelka Trenchard Glass.

The silent auction, held online through Bidding Owl, will feature 20-plus lots of art-related gifts as well as dining, lodging and gift certificates. The auction will close March 29, 8 pm. To donate to the silent auction, contact Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead at [email protected] or 920.746.0707.

Purchase tickets at millerartmuseum.org. Prices vary, and three dinner-box options are available. They include an assortment of local cheese, dried fruit, pot pies, dessert and a voucher for wine to be purchased at Madison Avenue Market. 

Keynote speaker Sarah Chance will emcee the March 19 event: an evening of tributes by those who serve and are served by the organization, the silent auction and a behind-the-scenes look into artist Stephanie Trenchard’s fascinating glass-casting process.The museum invites the public to support its efforts online this year to help ensure that it remains a vital piece of downtown Sturgeon Bay and the county’s arts community.
